We should all be more severe in our way of buying pens at our local shop!!

Not just dipping the pen , but ask the retailer to fill the ink and ask for a writing session , let say half page.

Bring your own paper and your own ink if that would help you.

This reveals much more than just a dip !!

When your retailer refuses just look for another one!! Especially when it is just a brick and mortar shop.
