Parker 75

A friend gave me this Parker 75. I'm pretty sure that's what it is anyway. Anyhow, I'm really enjoying it. I don't have any experience with vintage pens. I feel myself being drawn in though. I know there were many 75's made. Which variant is this one? Thanks for your expertise!

This is a Parker 75 Insignia model.14K gold plated, if I am not mistaken.

Good pen, but too gaudy for me

It is a bit blingy. One of the other pens I got is a sterling silver Sheaffer Imperial. I am totally blinged out now!

When I was younger, I definitely preferred the P75 straight cross-hatch look to the Sheaffer's diagonals. But now I am fine with both of them. I should get my old P75 out to use, it's been a long time... Tend away from the gold and silver look now, but they are fun to use some of the time...
