There is NOTHING on their Faceplant page Nor their website about Any give away for passport size covers.

There is a bag give away but I don't need a new purse.

I had to spring for one too. They make excellent stuff though it's usually a bit pricey.

That was an excellent deal for the shipping and handling charge.

Thanks Coffee.

Damn... I was actually just mulling over how I need something like this to compliment my full-size Midori TN. Unfortunately, I just emptied my account until payday to get a plane ticket for my stepson to visit us this summer.

I've never been disappointed in anything from Arthur at Renaissance Art. If you are interested in his special milled papers for his journals, I suggest to FIRST order the sample packet of papers to test with your pen nibs and inks. It's only a few dollars and would compliment your free gift.

Papers Offered by Renaissance Art, below. My preference for RA paper with a fountain pen, in order of appearance, below. Various line spacings to the pages are an option with 3/8" line spacing.

1. Zwerkall Book, 145gsm, white/smooth

2. Frankfurt, 120gsm, white

3. Frankfurt, 120gsm. cream

4. Arches Text Wove, 120gsm, cream

These types of papers are the opposite of the Tomoe River Japanese paper.

Thanks for posting this coffeetoofull. Where is the paper sample pack? I can't find it, any options in paper, or a search function.

I, also, searched for the paper sample pack and could not find it. I believe I paid $5.00 for mine, plus postage.

Email a request from their site, and I'm sure they will be glad to accommodate.

There didn't seem to be any restrictions on the passport cover. I am overseas and I have ordered one (only $10 after all). As for the contest, I entered that as well. If I win I am going to ask any of our American friends if they would like to be the luck recipient.

If anyone is wondering where their notebook is: I sent an email to ask if the one I'd ordered had shipped yet, and just got a reply. They had made 100 of the notebooks but so far have orders for 400. He thought they might get them all shipped by the end of next week.

Maybe this will spare them 300 emails asking the same thing I did. :)

Thank you! I was just wondering if I should email with such a question. That's a whole lotta notebooks!

I gave mine to my six year old daughter. Figured that would be a great test of the durability of the product.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
