Aurora 88P - No Serial

I have been going through my collection and I bought an 88P set a while ago. I have inked it a couple of time (It came to me mint/nos) and I am thinking about selling it as I don't use it as much I would like too as the nib is a bit too fine for my tastes.

When I got it initially I noticed it had no serial number. I didn't think much of it at the time. I know from other threads that a small batch was produced without serial numbers and that they are collectable. Is this true? What is a reasonable price for a set (with BP) in original packaging (wooden box)?

Hi,

I'm not really sure as two of my 88p pens had no serial number. What is the section made of? One of mine was celluloid and the other was ebonite.

To figure that out, you can rub it, and if it makes a burnt rubber smell, then it's hard rubber. I think most 88p pens had celluloid sections though. I'm not sure why mine has a rubber one. It's original though, and it has no serial number. Does yours have "88p" stamped on top? My celluloid one didn't. It only had the nib size stamped on the bottom.

Here is a picture of the 88p I have. You can see the stamp on top.

I am away for the next few days but will take a pic and upload early next week. I am pretty sure the section on my pen is celluloid.
