Interpreting Pelikan Toledo Serial Numbers

Recommended Posts

Each Pelikan Toledo fountain pen has a unique serial number. On my M700, it is 7/BQ 26 EH.

I'm not sure how this string is supposed to be interpreted. What does each part of this serial number mean, and does this provide any information as to when the pen was made?

I believe the EH are the artists initials in this case, Rick or others might have more information.

Also check the Toledo pinned thread at the top of the Pelikan forum
