Is It Okay To Mix J. Herbin Scented Inks?

I was wondering if it okay to mix j.herbin's scented inks with each other, or with another ink? I have a bottle of amber orange that I love, but wish it had a slightly stronger colour.

Any suggestions, or should I leave it be and just change the paper that I use?

I have a set of 5 little bottles (10ml/ ea.) of J. Herbin scented ink. I think they use a special formula to make them safe... i LOVE scented ink in general, I also have a whole bunch by De Atramentis.

Since the purple was about the only one I could use it "as is", I have been mixing all other colors little by little, to make them usable. No negative results yet.

So far... I mixed the orange with a bit of red (from a cartridge- after opening the cartridge, I used the syringe to transfer about half of the ink into a vial, then filled the cartridge back with the J. Herbin orange ink.) I mixed the green apple one (which looks more like a yellow) with Pelikan turquoise, approx. 1:1, to make it into a teal. I also mixed the red rose with Bleu Myosotis, approx. 1:1, to make a purplish color. I am hoping to use them all up eventually, so that I will be able to reuse these bottles, as those are pretty good/ easy to fill up my pens from!

Use general mixing rules. Don't mix in the pen, mix in small quantities. Wait for a day. Try it out on a dip pen, then in an easy to clean pen.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
