Thanks for the nice review. Looks like I'll have to get this one.... Reminds me of Noodler's Elysium and Blue and D's Denim (although IMO less chalky than the latter).

The scan shows a little lighter (and then there's the problem with various monitors and calibration). It's much darker than Liberty's Elysium. Somewhere between Herbin Bleu Ocean and Serenity/Florida blue.

Nice review, nice color.

Where you bought this ink? Thank You

A shop in Wiesbaden, Germany. They had it made by De Atramentis.

The store's site is here. De Atramentis doesn't show it in its own site (English or German), so it's likely available only from that store, just like MrPen's Radiant Blue (made by Diamine) is only available from MrPen.

Many thanks for the detailed information

Well, did we find out if it has a different name? Or must I find in Germany?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Sooo.... Hang onta yer hats!!!!

{A} I just phoned them (the store in Wiesbaden, "Der Papierladen Wiesbaden") 5 min ago but they must be OTL although they say they're there till 7 pm today.

{B} Thusly, I phoned our Excellent De Atramentis Manufacturer and Dealer Dr. Jansen and he said that we can all buy that ink from him Himself... but....

{C} .... he also told me that his inks can always be bought directly from Goulets. Sooo...............go figure.

{D} He said that that ink may very well be identical with another blue of his (like Charles Dickens = Cement Grey and Berlin Brandenburger Tor = Aubergine) but he wasn't sure and didn't have any other name on hand so suddenly, but, if "Yes", then he'll email me tomorrow.

"Sooo... Mr. Mike.... It's now time for your needle....................."

Here's a comparison of some common blues (that I have inked up right now...). Don't ask me why I dropped "Eclat" off the name of the Herbin sample...

I got a response to my email, and I think Doktor Jansen confused my email with lapis' phone call.

Sehr geehrter Herr Neal,

vielen Dank für das freundliche Telefongespräch.

Die Farbe der Wiesbadener Quellentinte ist Dunkelblau.

Als Anlage das Etikett.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Franz-Josef Jansen

Dear Mr. Neal,

thank you for the friendly phone call.

The color of the Wiesbaden source ink is dark blue.

As a plant label.

Sincerely yours

Franz-Josef Jansen

Here's a sample label he attached. Note that my two bottles don't state that the ink is dunkelblau.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
