Pen Case For Lamy Safari Or Al-Star?

Recommended Posts

I rarely bring any of my Lamy Safaris or AL-Stars with me because the clip is a problem in my pencases or rolls. They can not be closed and the rolls cannot be rolled. Have any of you found a case that works? Or is there a way to remove the clip? Perhaps a bit drastic.

One solution would be to sew one but I prefer not to.

Thank you for the links. I have a 2-pen Lamy case but it can not be closed.

I notice they do different sizes. What about the 'freebie' grey plastic soft case you get with the pen? Doesn't that meet your requirements?

I have a couple of pencil cases from JetPens that do the trick. One is the Nomadic which will hold 3 Lamy Al-stars without any pushing and shoving, and another two-section case with the tag "Moving Option" that is a bit bulkier but at the moment holds 2 Al-stars and 2 Safaris without any trouble.

I've got three Al-Stars currently residing in a Franklin-Christoph 3-pen fabric case. Tan.

They seem happy.

Is it common to get the plastic case with the pen? I have nine Lamy fp and only one came with this case. I don't think it will protect my pens but it is good advice to use it until I buy a better case.

Thank you for your help. I will look at these cases. One that takes four pens seems what I'm looking for.

I have found that if the inlay of the box is taken out, 4 of the Safaries fit perfectly into the box.

That's a nice Lamy box. I have never seen one of those. What model did it come with?

ummm. Sure looks like a Lamy 2000 to me.....

I have three Lamy Accent pens (two fountain pens and a "4-pen" multipen) that all came with that box. It fits into a supplied cardboard sleeve.

I ended up buying a Pelikan three pen case and my Lamys fits perfectly in it. I have saved your tips for future purchases. Thank you!
