Looking For Suggestions To Permanently Attach Clip To Kaweco Sport

Hi All,

So I have a few Kaweco Sports that I rather like, but the clip keeps slipping off when I'm using it, letting the pen fall. Since I always use the pen with the clip, I'm looking for a good way to attach the clip to the pen permanently. I'm looking to attach it to the sport ice, so the lower cost options, not the AL or AC versions or anything too expensive.

Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated. I might try a couple things (have a few pens and a few clips) and will report back if any of them work.

I would Strongly suggest that you Not attempt to permanently mount the clip.

Do it the right way. Equally all the way around, press in on it, decreasing it's inner diameter such that it stays where it is supposed to. Like it's supposed to.

The clips on my Kaweco Sport pens are REALLY tight and show no sign of moving. I would second what Bruce has already suggested.

Pens and paper everywhere, yet all our hearts did sink,

Pens and paper everywhere, but not a drop of ink.

I do agree that they fit very snuggly, but I've had it come off too many times to trust it, I can't clip it to my pocket, which is how I like to cary my pens.

I do have another issue with my Al-Sport that it doesn't post securely, but I've gotten in touch with Kaweco to try and resolve that one.

I agree with the suggestion to just tighten the clip. If you really want it permanent though, get some two part epoxy. It's hard to get much more permanent than that without drilling holes in the cap and using pins or screws, which if wouldn't suggest.

There isn't any glue that will hold it on any better than it can be properly be made to stay on by itself as intended.

Any glues that come close to that will almost certainly make a Big mess here.

A Big mess that due to the glue itself, is going to be tough if not impossible to clean up.

Well, even though I intentionally have not put a clip on my Kaweco AL Sport so it'll get "stonewashed" in my pocket, I suspect that just squeezing down a clip and then letting a drop or two of thin superglue flow by capillary action under the clip ring (once you get it where you want it) might attach it fairly well for the foreseeable future.
