DA Royal blue, dark, well lubricated, with a tinge towards royal...purple. I got rid of Waterman's Florida blue when I got it.

A local...German ink, easier to get than Noodlers.

I think Parker Quink blue is both wet and juicy

I agree. This is my best ink and I usually ink new pens with it to make them perform at their best. Perfect for dry pens.

Aurora Blue is really wonderful. Omas Blue is excellent, and perhaps the truest true blue I've found, however I've seen some mentions of possible staining.

Let us know what you decide

My vote goes to Noodler's Ottoman Azure which I use to write daily. It is a beautiful, wet and smooth blue ink which takes a while to dry.

Organics Studios Nitrogen is very wet and saturated.

I tried a sample of this. So wet it made a fine pen write like a medium. A good choice for this topic.

Thanks Glenn,

I placed my order with La Couronne du Comte, an european on-line store which makes the customs/taxes problems much easier. Eager to try this one...

I had an unopened sample of Omas blue from Goulet and...yes! This ink is all you say : it writes super smoothly, no skips, a very silky touch and the blue colour is just a real blue with lots of shadings. re-opened the Noodlers LibertyElysium for a further test. It looks promising as well. But the Omas blue will definitely be on my final list!

S.T.Dupont's Royal Blue is also nice and wet. Juicy? Maybe, but still more refined, just like MB's.

Hmm.... I like S.T. Dupont's Royal Blue, MB Royal Blue, Noodler's Blue Eel, Aurora Blue and Visconti Blue.

Alas for the juiciest blue, I have a mix .... and for the second most luscious blue, I have another mix. If you really want, I'll post samples. Ah... I'll post anyway.

But if you love vibrant colors, have you considered Diamine Bilberry? It's blue-berry for those of us who don't know what a bilberry is. It's performed well in my abusive writing.

Have others found that Visconti Blue does well on cheap paper (i.e., minimal feathering and bleed through)? I have found Waterman serenity blue to be smooth, fairly wet, and pretty well-behaved on cheap paper, but the color isn't quite right. A bit too light maybe for my taste...

Amber, you have convinced me that I need to get some Nth African Violet to go with my Midway Blue.

BTW, what is the OS Flo? Obviously a wetting agent, but what is its full name?

Aurora and Omas are certainly wet. However I was surprised to read then put into practice, that Aurora is excellent on Moleskine paper: best with a F or EF nib. It will make a refreshing change from my usual 4001 Blue-Black on that paper.

Now before you go mixing this up yourself..... I think I did some booboos that would not have made the mix so dry to begin with. I was playing chemist when I should not have. I added phenol to the ink and I hadn't shaken it so my first trials with the mix were super dry. The OS Flo is Organics Studio Flo+ which has some sort of chemical like phenol which reduces mold growth.

Do you already have these inks?

I have the Midway Blue already, but I was looking at the NAV to blend with the MB. However, I find that the MB bleeds and spreads sideways too much. Do you have that problem?

My wife was born in Rabaul. Do you think that is a good reason to get the Rabaul Red?

Maybe, but it's such a crummy ink.....imo. The NAV is worth getting. The mix is really wonderful.

I just bought a bottle of Omas blue to go on experimenting, and I must confirm everything many of you said about this ink is verified : very nice deep blue colour of course, but mainly an extraordinary writing comfort. The pen glides smoothly over the paper, with an excellent flow, very wet, leaving the just written words slightly shining in the light.

I normally use B nibs, but this ink makes me feel at ease with mdium nibs...I was even able to enjoy writing a few pages with a fine nib, but it came with the Conid Bulkfiller pen and this fabulous writing instrument certainly takes the lion's share of the pleasure of writing. Anyway, this OMAS blue is definitely up to the job!
