I had my 02 broad SIG all flushed out & dried to put away the other day. Was going to give it a break while I wrote another pen or two empty. Lasted about a day before I had it filled back up with Ina-ho. Can't stand to have the F-Cs uninked.

Just bit the bullet and went for the 02 in ice and smoke with a SIG medium nib....couldn't wait for the 19 to come back into stock....

Shipped already...amazing service so far!

Don't own one yet, but I haven't bought a pen in a at least a year and a half. I have test driven them at pen shows though, and they are on the list of "next to get" with 2 or 3 others. Just have to decide which pen it will be and then get the money. The pens are really nice looking in person, and very well constructed for fit and finish. The ones I tried were excellent writers as well. I have several pens Michael Masuyama has worked on, and he does excellent work.

in my opinion QUALITY.QUALITY,QUALITY. Trust me oneill

Waiting for the arrival of a Franklin-Christoph Model 03, Coco and Creme' with 1.1 cursive calligraphy nib. I also have a Christoph music nib to try out.

I'm sure to be buying additional nibs in the future and doubt I'll hesitate if the model 19 becomes available in Smoke & Cinnamaroon.

And she's here already!

Astounding delivery service...order Friday morning in Korea, arrived Monday morning home in Hong Kong...will ink her later and let you know. Will also take to Singapore for a business trip this week with my MB 146 as my Parker 51 doesn't fly very well....

Having just finished reading through this thread I'm going to have to figure out what model will be my first F-C fountain pen.

Got a green model 20 at the Baltimore pen show, 14K Masuyama broad cursive italic. Outstanding pen, will most-likely buy another F-C when I go to the D.C. Show in August

I picked up two new Model 03 pens at the Baltimore show, the new "Venetian Red", and a golden-brown-flake acrylic in the box of prototypes and test colors.

Both have broad italic nibs -- I really like the way they write.

The test colors are interesting, because you can start to see some overlap with the materials used in Edison pens.

Scientia potentia est.

I guess this is another bounce, but well deserved, I think. As a potential (likely) entrant to the F-C club, I have enjoyed this thread. One suggestion: it would be wonderful, when convenient, if posters would include PIX! with their comments. Thanks in advance.

Got a Model 02 and Pocket 66 on the way :puddle: , and unfortunately for my wallet will be keeping both :glare: .

Love this company!!

The light weight, quality, and grips of the before said pens let me write for extended periods of time  .

I've quickly accumulated 5 as among my first used and new pen purchases. The lifetime transferable warranty is amaging, the build quality is fantastic, and I love the Masuyama customized nibs. I have yet to find a model that I don't like! I stalk their stock room as well ;)

I own a Model 20 Translucent Bronze (Wonder Pens store exclusive) and a Pocket 66 Antique Glass.

Both pens write wonderfully. And regardless of the size, each pen fits so well in the hand. I like the designs.

However I find myself not as interested in the Translucent Bronze finish as before. So I will sell that pen and keep my Pocket 66.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
