This is the picture I will use if any comments are given about my ink collection which fits into a small box.

And don't forget to tell them them I don't have an ink problem. They should see some of the really impressive collections.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

BTW, it's even worse than I showed you.

Here it was back in November of last year.

But, I don't have an ink problem.

You got a book problem, lady!

What an awful waste of space!

Can you believe that I had to move some of the books that I really use ... I had to move ink in order to get to them. :) It's evenworse because Had to use books and boxes to get the bottles to stack in layers so you can see them.

What ink came in the heart shaped bottle?

Mine was J. Herbin bleu myosotis, but Sam Capote showed them in multiple colors that was able to buy. It is a terrible bottle, no pens fit inside, but it looks beautiful.

You can still get them. Google for J Herbin Forget Me Not or something like that.

In the UK they have one with red

I'm glad the bottle is useless. I really don't need another blue ink, especially Bleu Myostosis, and already blew my ink budget on Akkerman blauw.

The blue ink just looks funny in the bottle, hence I used the ink in other projects and put red in the bottle.

Personally, I think you will like the Akkerman Blue better.

Nostalgic Impressions Purple Ink in Glass Apothecary Bottle

(image removed for space)

I purchased this ink for the gorgeous bottle then fell in love with the ink as well!

I purchased it from here:

http://www.nostalgicimpressions.com/Large_Glass_Apothecary_Jar_Inkwell_with_Ink_p/n4004x.htm

Your post pushed me (see? It's not my fault!) to buy one bottle of their red ink. I may have to add purple, too. That way, I'll get to try it, and have a second one of those bottles!

I have also ordered two empty bottles from Goulet Pens, more for the bottle than for the ink it may contain (though I want to try the bit of inks left in them!).

Ink is dangerous for me. I have had an affinity for small bottles and lanterns as long as I can remember.

Part of the reason I purchased two bottles of Hero ink was for the simplicity of their bottles. They arrived today, and I am not disappointed!

Amberleadavis, you are a horrible enabler. Your posts and the others like you are the reason I have eight inks and counting in only six months of fountain pen use. The only reason i don't have four times that is that my only pen until recently was a vac filler and hard to clean. What a delightful vice to have.

EEEK -- if you haven't ordered yet --- DO NOT order the red. I did a review. One of the few inks I have ever flushed. I liked the purple, but do flush it regularly. I'd be interested in seeing the green or the blue. DO NOT DO THE RED.

Ha! I should have read more. It's too late for me! At least it looks ... OK in the bottle.

Question!

Do you guys and gals keep your bottles on display like in amberleadavis' picture? I would like to keep a few out but I always hear to keep them out of light, but don't know why that is. It's a pity to keep them in the dark.

Yes, similar. I have all my pens and inks in a glass curio cabinet, so I display them like ornaments and can enjoy browsing the display to select pens and inks.

Seeing Amber's in(k)ventory displayed, I feel a bit ashamed my inks are just sitting in the drawer...

Oh I should not rejoice in pushing you yet I am so glad that you've found something lovely!

I do love the purple ink it is what I consider "happy purple." It is bright and cheery and exactly purple - no red or blue.

I may someday try the blue or green, but at the moment have other inks higher on my wish list! :)

You could call the company and see if you could exchange the red for another color. Maybe they will be obliging....

I did not intend any direct negativity. I was 'pushed' sarcastically, as in I would not have purchased a bottle, had you not posted the image. I love bottles, and ink which comes in a nice bottle will have my attention quickly.

I won't bother. I like a wide range of red inks, and in a dip pen, this one is a bit bolder than I had feared. It is also begging to be blended, to see what other shades it may produce.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
