Thanks for your helpful review. I like the guilloche texture, and the white is refreshing. Two issues I have with the design, one practical, one aesthetic. I find that glossy sections are not as comfortable as matte or texture. If someone can tell me a good reason why Chinese pens have a "shield" on the clip, maybe I can stop calling it a tumor.

I have one, in black 'n' gold. It's quite nice but a little small for me. Would suit someone with small hands. Otherwise typical good quality Jinhao #5 nib, but it feels a bit dense, due to its weight in a smallish pen.

 

The shield carries the Jinhao logo - the Golden Hero (JinHao) in his chariot.
