Best Greenish Blue-Black

Noodler's Legal Lapis has been mentioned, but also Noodler's Prime of the Commons and Coral Sea Blue might hit your needs. All three have significant water resistance, and all three have some degree of green to their blue-black, perhaps more than you want, perhaps not. The last two are respectively, UK and Australian exclusives, but can be ordered internationally.

Noodler's Zhivago is a worthy ink, but it's truly more green-black, without blue, and again significantly water resistant.

Oh my. So many blues, so little money! The suggestions are great. Diamine Twilight and Tsuki-yo are interesting to me because I have this picture of a night sky shimmering with a thousand stars. And I keep thinking that that dark greenish blue is the color ink I want. So Twilight and Moonlight sound just right. Only . . . I just can't buy the Tsuki-yo. Part of me says that if I buy it then all the stars shall align in the ink universe, and I shall dwell in blissful utopian inkage the rest of my days. But reality tells me that if I do buy it then I'll want Yama-Budo, then Syo-ro, and then . . . I wish they sold 30ml bottles. So many of their inks look like unique, beautiful colors. Sigh. So Twilight gets added as a possibility.

I'm a little surprised no one has said much about BBH. There seems to me a lot of love out there for it. Great shading, bulletproof. Maybe it isn't dark enough to be considered a blue-black.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the suggestions.

I really like Parker Blue-Black in this terms. I turns out to be a nice green tone when it dries. It is cheap and reliable. You can check some photos about it from the link. (It is in English if you scroll down)

+2 on Diamine Twilight. I don't like it because, for me, it does have a lot of green in it. Othwerwise a good ink in terms of flow, saturation, maintenance etc.

Noodlers Air Corp BB should really be called green-black. It has a very definite green overtone (not just teal). It is well behaved and also has great water resistance.

I really appreciate all the replies. I actually found a really great blue black that fits my description. Only I didn't buy it. I just mixed my PR Naples Blue with Noodlers X Feather. I can even shade it more blue and lighter to more green and darker depending on how much black I add. A new shade with every fill! Thanks for the help though.

I'm using Rohrer & Klingner Verdigris at the moment and it's a great deep blue, close to black and also with just a hint of green under fluorescent lighting. Only problem is it feathers quite a bit on cheap paper.

Surprised no one has mentioned Diamine Twilight. Not waterproof but a fantastic, shaded blue black with a hint of green lurking.

Diamine Twilight is in my top 3. Beautiful color and what a well behaved ink.

I love Noodler's 54th Mass, it has the perfect balance of blue and black with what I feel is a hint of green.

I'm currently using 54th as my daily ink. But I really miss Legal Lapis. :( I think it had more of an aqua tinge to it, while (to me), 54th is a straight blue/black.
