Sheaffer Valor Box

I just bought a Sheaffer Valor which I've been saving up for some time now. The pen is great, what what disappointed me a little was the box. I had come to believe it would have come in a wooden box, but it was actually packaged in a rather normal Sheaffer box. Does anyone know if this is standard? I bought this at a Sheaffer retailer at a department store.

I bought one a couple of years ago, and yes it came in a wooden box...

Upon turning it around, I saw a label that said, "Box made in Thailand". I guess I now know why...

According to the latest Sheaffer catalogue, the Valor should come boxed in the Blackwood, luxury wood presentation gift box.

The Made in Thailand box you got is the WW30 box which is for their mid-range pens. I've received those with my Intensity and 100 pens.

Go back to the shop and say they gave you the wrong presentation box. If they moan, contact Head Office and send a copy of your receipt with a covering letter.
