I wonder what the price point will be on this pen? I am somewhat interested if they don't overprice it.

I have it pre-ordered but I will add a gold nib, I love blue mixed with gold but the gold nibs are somewhat more pleasant writers too.

Nice pen! I like the look so much I'm going to start carrying my shiny new looking one in my pants pocket with change and keys instead of clipped to my shirt.

The scratches really make it look quite beaten. It's a style of it's own, really.

OK, here's my Kaweco Sport AL high gloss after fighting with pocket trash after about a month:

Wow Sotto, that's quite a patina! Does anyone have any pics of a worn in/well-loved Al-Sport (non-stonewashed)? I'd love to see how the pen holds up to normal pocket-warrior type use in comparison to the stonewashed effect. I have a blue Ice Sport, which I love - easily the most asked-about pen I have.

My raw aluminum Sport pen doesn't look quite that scratched after a couple of years of use, it's usually in a tiny pouch. On the other hand I decided it's completely impossible to not scratch the raw aluminum finish. Absolutely anything at all will leave at least a micro-scratch and that's cool with me. The pen has the appearance of what it is: a reliable everyday companion, just like yours.

On the other hand, I'm not sure I will purchase a pre-worn Sport to emulate that look, even nice as the stonewashed finish is.

I like the look of it. I have no need for a pants-carry pen, so have not bought a Kaweco. I also expect that the section would be a bit small for me...

Got mine in black stone wash today. Have a Sport Ice and love it. So looking forward to putting it into the rotation. The quality appears top notch and writes with very little "start up" with a green Kaweco cartridge.

Each to their own, I suppose, but I won't be paying extra for the 'feauxtina' look. One might as well purchase a second hand Kaweco, carry it in the pocket with some keys or coins and when the patina is sufficient for one's taste, take it out and give it coat of clear (available in a spray can from the hardware store).

I really like the aesthetic of that pen...

I might have to get one... :roller1: :vbg:

Thanks for sharing, and nice pics!

Just realized this thread is from 2014. Thanks for reviving it and reminding me about this pen!

Right. But, OTOH, what would be the point of buying a pair of pre-worn-out, stonewashed, ragged Levi's jeans trousers?
