This ink was sent to me as a sample from Organic Studios in an order from them. I like the color because it leans hard toward a teal. I really like how it performs, just the right amount of flow from all the pens I have put it in.

I dripped water on my grid twice and you can see that it had no affect at all. In fact, the water just beaded on the paper. This is Rhodia paper that I ran through the copy machine to print the review form on. Maybe that affected the paper, but why would that affect the ink's water resistance?

This ink is the original version of our 'Accident' Blue Pigmented ink! So it should be water/bleachproof :)

I suppose contact Organic Studios. I didn't order my little bottle. When I placed the order I indicated I would be willing to do a review of an ink that was still "in the lab being tested" and this is what I got.

Accident Blue is one of my favorite inks now. Nice turquoise and waterproof.

The ink should be available through all of our retailers (anderson pens, bertrams inkwell, amazon, i sell pens, refill finder.com, etc)

Try downloading and adjusting the exposure and tweaking the white balance to make the paper white. It looks pretty much like my Accident Blue. Just dark from the picture. Mine may have just a little more turquoiseyness.

I think I mentioned that this ink is constantly changing from dark to light. I use it every day at work and always wonder what shade will present itself next.

I did notice the product description for Accident Blue says that it is a pigmented ink and might require additional maintence for that reason. So, what is the difference between pigmented and non-pigmented ink? The logical side of my brain says that all inks have pigment in them, elsewise they would be clear, like water, or vodka. What am I missing?

This ink does seem darker in a wetter or broader nib. That's probably the difference. More pigment getting put down in those cases I'd guess.

 

Pigment ink is different from dye ink. Pigment inks have tiny particles of pigment in them suspended.

Interesting variation in the color. I prefer the OP's review blue -- very pretty. Could be a strong contender in my search for a blue that doesn't feather or bleedthrough -- but it's hard to say what shade of blue, cos there are so many. But a Noodler's Black-level of troublefree blue is what I'm on the lookout for.

But a Noodler's Black-level of troublefree blue is what I'm on the lookout for.

Have you tried Noodler's Blue? It does not feather (not in my experience), it is "somewhat" waterproof (similar to Elysium), and it seems to be consistently the same color from bottle to bottle.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
