What Pelikan Do You Use Today?

The same as before... (from the What do you have inked? thread):

EDC flock... dropped the black Pelikan 140 (M) in favor of a more broad nibbed pen (100N). I think these strike a great balance for everyday/common writing needs (no real room for BB/BBB nibs even though they are great fun).

Also, been loving the new ink mix I made out of Pelikan 4001 series inks which is:
- 2 parts Blue Black,
- 1 part Turquoise and
- 1 part of distilled water.

Pelikan 100N Green ( B) inked with Pelikan 4001 BB/Turquoise/H2O mix,
Pelikan 100N Black (EEF) inked with the same and
Pelikan 400NN Schildpatt/Tortoise (OF) inked with MB BB/Caran d'Ache Hypnotic Turquoise/H2O mix.

How do you like the white transparent sargetalon?

Today I mostly used my green striped 140 Fine with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

More than I thought I would. The CI grind likely helps.

The 150 is still made and sold, I got a catalog with my new marbled brown.....so just put my 150 filled with the 4001 Brilliant Green up in the pen cup.

Now I'm using L'Actison Brun Ours sample that came with the new marbled brown 200....it is a grayed brown...towards a R&K Sepia

Today I am using my M805 Stresemann with Pelikan Black ink and my M400 red-striated with Pelikan Red.

Both have B-nibs and complement each other nicely when I need to write and highlight something.

Got quite the rise out of the clerks at the Precision Time store in the mall today when I went to get a new battery for my wife's watch (and a new crystal) when I pulled out my old style blue marbled M200 to sign the slip for the work... oh, and it was loaded with Levenger Pomegranate.

A 400 that has the wettest nib I have ever seen on a Pelikan. And it is almost full flex. Huge tine spread with almost no pressure. I truly love this nib.

I have filled for the first time a plain old 100N from the early 1950s. It has one of the flexier nibs among my pens, and writes with a faint skritch like or more so than an Aurora 88 of the same period. It appears to be an F nib, very practical and neat to use. This is my only not-modern Pelikan.

Tonight, the two M300s I have inked, Kana-cho in the green-striped and Petrol in the black.

Of course, once I got to work, I was reminded why I normally bring 1 screw-on and 1 snap cap and had to pull the Pilot Varsity out of my bag.

A jet black M405 filled with Edelstein Onyx. Boring, huh? Believe it or not, but this pen has gotten more comments/compliments than many of its flashier flock-mates.

My blue marbled M200 inked and in rotation every day for the last 8 years I've had it. Currently fitted with a stock wet italic steel nib and filled with MB Lucky Orange.

A Merz and Krell 120, medium nib, Pelikan brilliant black. This pen, a recent purchase, seems to get better and better from one filling to the next. I'm on the third, which would be called "early days" by English members, and I wonder how much better the pen is going to become over a few weeks.

Debating whether to fill the new Stormtrooper that arrived yesterday with Take-sumi. I was really disappointed with it when I tried it in the M405 EF - way too wet - but I'm thinking the M100 EF should run somewhat drier.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
