Cheap Wet Waterprof Blue Ink

HI there, can anyone recommend me for a wet waterprof blue ink for daily use? I am a college student and have a lot of matrix to deal with, normally, I can dry a new filled montblanc 144 in a day, so it better to be cheap and easy to get, like pelikan 4001. Any recommendations are welcomed, thank you and happy writing.

Noodler's Liberty's Elysium is "mostly" waterproof.

If you could stretch to 4001 Blue-Black, there's not a lot better considering they say it's not iron-gall! Other than that, the Pilots are good - cheap and cheerful.

If you can afford it, try Namiki Blue. It's a bit more expensive than the Pelikan 4001 blue-black, but a lovely delicate shade of blue. Not iron gall and water-resistant.

Either Pilot or Namiki - same ink, different bottles. Very nice ink and holds up very well to water. The Blue Black is nice too.

I second pilot blue or blue/ black. Both are great inks. Pelikan blue/blk 4001 is incredible too

All are very water resistant

Platinum blue-black is a well-behaved iron gall ink that has good water resistance and is reasonably priced.

Pilot blue black is one of my favorites and is very close in color to my eyes to the Pelikan blue black. Both great inks but in my experience a little on the dry side but that seems to help prevent feathering on cheap paper.

+1 on the Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black, except that it is dry.

 

(Otherwise, Bay State Blue is water resistant!! )

It is a W.Germany montblanc, the first generation of plastic feeder, I was also wondered if there are some inks sparking with that kind of feeder?

Noodler's Bad Blue Heron is a wet-writing ink that is very permanent and a great vibrant blue to boot.

 

I live in Canada so I don't know what is affordable to you or not, but in Canada Noodler's is one of the best value inks, if not the best.

 

Pelikan 4001 is available in 1 Liter jugs that are tremendously cost-effective, if you really love it. Ink is actually really cheap, but the little glass bottles add a lot of cost because of their weight and cost. If you can find ink in bulk packaging you can save a ton of money. Some Indian ink is also sold that way.

Since it is a used pen and I have just received that pen yesterday, I prefer to adjust it by writing first. Maybe it is just because I have a different writing style with it's pre-owner...

Definitely, but in Singapore a 3oz bottle of noddle could be sold in 25 usd, not cheap for me, while pelikan 4001 62.5ml just takes 2.4usd...

Is Diamine expensive in Singapore? You can't go wrong with Diamine's Blue Black and it's fairly wet.

 

Icevec, love the idea of Pelikan blue black in a jug! Especially since it's not being sold in the U.S. anymore. You have any sources?

So it's dry? Use a pen/nib combination to work around that.

It is one of the best.
