My Italix M stub is wider than my TWSBI 1.1 and wider than my Goulet 1.1 and about the same as my Nemosine 0.8.

I bought all those pens over three years ago, so YRMV.

Thank you!

Big announcement. at the age of 74 I have decided to retire from Italix and mrpen within the next twelve to eighteen months. It is in a unique position because we have substantial stocks and a big balance at the bank plus we are very profitable so I could just run the company down to a gentle close and effectively just walk away, or if the right buyer appears I will sell it. In the meantime we will trade exactly as we have been doing up til now. I will appoint an agent to provide spares and warranty support, but not until I actually can announce a date of transfer or cessation of trading. I will keep our customers and friends up to date via this section on FPN. It has been such fun running this wonderful little pen company over the years, thank you for your support.

That's sad news. I've bought several Italix pens over the years and without exception they have been good pens and fine writers. I may have to indulge in one or two more while I have the chance.

We are in the process of converting Cross and Sheaffer pens to create an additional twenty nib options. The nibs will be similar in smoothness and performance to the current Italix.

I bought a number of your pens years ago, when I was trying to gain experience with different nib types. I only ever got along with a couple of them, but that was my hand, not the pens. Seeing this thread, I realized that I still use my original Parson's Essential stub as an EDC. Bulletproof, no biggie if I lose it (I do that sort of thing) and writes every time. Thanks for the product and best wishes for the future.

I look forward to another Italix pen with their excellent italic nibs. Probably the last in pendom to offer such variety and quality with Mr. Ford's nibmanship and ability to make great and enduring pens should be enduring pens meant to be carried and used. All for not a lot of money.

Good to see you up and at 'em, Mr. Pen.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
