Everything vintage is rare? The Forum? Maybe I should have bought into all the lower priced models. Big rewards. Then there are a lot of sellers with an inflated and hopeful view of what they have to sell. Who knows anyway, perhaps that will become the standard price for that item if enough people buy them at that price.

"...the power of poor ju[d]gement..." Chuckles on the phrase. True otherwise though.

New idea: if you can sell a 10 GBP (originally) Phileas for 75 to 100 on ebay, hey, perhaps I can sell the section and the barrel and the cap apart for 125... wow, that's 25 gained....

and there's something hooky about this auction. Ahh yes, from the negative fedback he/she is selling Amazon items and marking them up. Ohh dear ebay and you let the seller run free.

it's a right oblique. looking at the front part it's a fine. Very rare, a Waterman ROF.

Yes, they come in nib sizes from 32 to 49 Europe and 1 to 15 in the USA.

Seller doesn't know what it is, but it must be worth $200 because it looks like gold.

The name looks like a Greek name. I have known a number of Greeks in my time, and I am unsurprised. All great people, but they have their ways. One, known to my father and friends at work came up to the office at Pensacola City Hall to shoot the breeze. I and a Greek coworker were talking to him, when he got up and said he had to go and would hit the head on the way out. We were looking out the window and out rolled B---, on the way to his car, trailing about six feet of toilet paper from the back of his pants.

He was a great guy, and we all liked him, but I am often reminded of this vision.

What is being auctioned here.

Google Translate is confusing.

The title appears to say a pen but the description just a cap.

It says:

Waterman Edson Emerald Green (18ct)

Only the gold cap for all the Edsons from Waterman

Only the cap, with a small imperfection at the point (see pic)

In the main text there are a couple of words I don't know.

But the gist of it is that this is a cap that can be used on the Emerald or Blue Edson, that only the cap is sold, not the pen itself and that the cap has a small ding at the top.

I guess he got himself a new cap and is trying to get something out of the old one.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
