So, now that all these great ideas are available what brave soul will suggest them to C-S? (not me)

I have dibs on the 3rd Doctor pen! Need one each of a Bessie and Whomobile stands to go with it. Maybe even a dematerialization circuit stand to go with it too!

Romana II had a cool looking sonic screwdriver too, if I recall correctly. :)

I watched a dr Who proms concert last night on telly. That was fun.

50 years of dr. Who.

Is there a tv series running longer? Maybe coronation street?

Anyway, a pen to commemorate this leading program would be more than proper for Britain's leading penmaker...

The box should have a photo of the Doctor, who hopefully will soon be ...... Helen Mirren.

Good suggestion, thank you!

I am not currently aware of the full licensing requirements to launch an official 'Doctor Who' pen commemorative, but will certainly be open to contacting the BBC to find out more information :)

Kind regards,

Mary Burke

Thank you ever so much for investigating this! I hope the enthusiasm on this thread is contagious to the licensing group at BBC. What a wonderful way to commemorate and celebrate BBC, Dr Who and Conway Stewart. :)

Count me in. The Tardis theme presentation box is really a neat idea as is a series commemorating each actor who has played the Doctor. Could you imagine the colors on the Tom Baker pen? :)

Dear Ms. Burke --

Unfortunately, I had a fit of some sort and mentioned this to my wife. Not that I don't appreciate CS pens, I love my No. 475. Any filling system will work for me other than cartridge/cartridge converter; although I prefer piston-fill pens.

Please let us know as soon as you're able, so I can decide whether to save for it or use the "involuntary redistribution of the wealth" plan as a financing base.

Regards,

haha - you guys are more impatient than a Dalek at the foot of the stairs. Have any of you tried to negotiate a licensing deal with the BBC or any other beastly big, bureaucratic, media organization? And for what? A hundred pens in CS's dreams? Meaning what - low single digit thousand pounds license fees to the BBC? Compared to £5bn annual revenues: 0.0001%, at best. Hardly an application that is going to get fast-tracked, is it? And CS would need a proposal design before they even start which is also labour intensive.

Get real guys: This is going to take some time.
