Any Experience With Chatterleyluxuries.com?

Hi, everyone,

Has anyone done business with chatterleyluxuries.com? They have a pen that I am very much interested in, and am wondering about others' experience.

Based on the google custom search, the seller seems to be quite active here, mostly selling super-high-end pens. The pen I want is a relatively low end in their standard, but still is a lot of money for me, if it makes sense... I am wondering if it is one of those "if it sounds too good to be true, it is" kind of situation, or it truly is a bargain. I don't want to offend anyone, but figured there's no harm in asking...

Any help and guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

Bryant is always available by email or phone to speak about any pen he has or a pen you want. Of course stay within the brands he sells. He is very tight with many of the higher end Italian pen makers and has MANY limited editions that are made strictly for his company to sell.

He ships fast, well packed and there is no BS with him. He knows pens, he loves pens and if you call him he will talk pens as long as you can!

it will take a long time and a lot of digging to find anything negative about him ...

I've bought a couple pens from Bryant and always been happy with his prices and his service.

Bryant was very helpful when I bought my first Visconti Van Gogh, and when I get the Homo Sapiens I've been eying, that's where I will go, without hesitation.

I have purchased many pens from Bryant and will do so again without hesitation, one of the good guys IMHO.

Great, thank you everyone for your valuable input. And wow, quick responses! Now I can place my order for my dream pen with confidence!

Edited to add: I sent him an e-mail regarding the pen as I had a few questions, and he got back to me practically right away. And this is a holiday weekend for many people. Great first step, for sure!

This is one instance where high volumes of sales = low prices.

I've snapped up some fabulous consignment pens from him as well as new.

Thank you for your input!

I see- now the whole thing makes sense. The pen is described as "lovingly used" and comes with no papers or the box, and I thought it at least partly explains the price.

The price for the pen in question, in fact, is lower than I have seen anywhere else (excluding some very special instances on 'Bay, but it seems to be hit or miss. The price there is a moving target, as it is the nature of the beast. And I don't even want to get into the whole thing re. the level of knowledge/ integrity of some of the dealers there, as discussed in a bunch of threads...)

Bryant assured me that it writes well, and to me, that is the most important thing. Also- it is at the price point where I can actually use the pen without feeling guilty, as opposed to place it on a pedestal like a piece of art work!

The order has been placed... the pen is showing "out of stock" on the site now... OMG I am sooooo excited!!! :bunny01:  :bunny01:  :bunny01: *happy dance*

Its one of my favorite sites for pens, though I haven't bought too many from him. But, I got my grail pen, a Montegrappa Eternal Bird (and the matching inkwell!) for a combined price that was lower than what most were selling just the pen for.

You won't be disappointed with Bryant!

I am actually contemplating having my salary deposited directly into Bryant's account, and having him mail me some pens and a few boxes of Noodles every so often.

True bliss: knowing that the guy next to you is suffering more than you are.

And in addition to all the things written above about him, I can attest that Bryant's after sales service is to the same high standard.

My first purchase from Bryant was a Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age with the Stub nib. The price was the lowest I could find at the time, so I was happy about that... But when the pen arrived, it had start-up and skipping issues.

Bryant had me send it off to Michael Masuyama who (on Bryant's request) put it at the head of his queue, tuned it beautifully, and sent it back to me in very quick time. I paid to get the pen to Michael and nothing more.

I am sure that Bryant "ate up" a good portion of his profit in doing this, but having a satisfied customer would seem to be more important to him.

'Nuff said.

Never bought from Bryant but he has a good reputation, I think I will buy him a pen in the future
