Worst Fountain Pen Melt Down During An Exam?

I cockily chewed on a cartridge once, when I was about 13. I didn't even use a fountain pen, I just had the cartridge in my pencil case for no reason whatsoever. Then suddenly I noticed I hadn't chewed gently enough.

Never dared to use a fountain pen on my blue books in my non engineering classes

 

The paper was like a slightly finished paper towel; my EF lines looked like sharpie

 

Ball points were a pain in my hand, so I relied on my favorite gel pen, the Pentel Energel. Nice diameter body, smooooth, quick drying and long lasting refill. Going through 24 pages of blue book in 1 day with it was not a problem (that was probably the most writing I've ever done, since I was an engineering student)
