Hello FPN Users,

I have recently purchased a 2010 model hemisphere and it's on it's way in the post. I was wondering if I am able to fit an international standard converter, namely the monteverde mini converter. Some say they only take waterman converters, others say that it will fit. Can someone please answer this for me. Thanks

The Waterman and the international standard are close, but not identical. Normally I am able to fit a long Waterman cartridge on a standard pen. Actually I have a WM cart in an ST Dupont pen right now. And I have tried short int carts in my WM pens.

The Monteverde mini is made of the soft plastic of cartridges, unlike most converters that are made of hard plastic with a specific mouthpiece. So yes, you may be lucky. But the internal diameter of some WM pens is rather narrow and in some pens some int carts won't fit. So it is a trial and error thing.

But why not use a specific WM converter?

Cheers, I'm just trying to be cheap. I have a mini converter already, and if it fits, then there is no need to buy a wm converter.

Thanks for the reply :)

Hopefully I will get lucky, otherwise, I've lost a fiver...

Wow, you paid five GBP for a Monteverde miniconverter? My B&M shop has them for 3.90 Euros.....

A Waterman converter goes for 6.95 Euros
