Sounds like something naughty on an airplane, but it's really just a cheap fountain pen.

On Friday my wife and I went to visit the in-laws. I entertained myself by having a look through some stationery stores owned by old Chinese. I found these two pens. The first one is a Hero 329. I have been able to find a lot of information about this pen on this site and others.

But the other pen is called a Skyglory. I'm not sure if the name on the clip came out well in the photograph. I haven't had much of a chance to play with this pen, but it wrote straight away when I put in the cartridge. No cleaning or flushing. I'm too impatient for that. It is slightly scratchy fine nib with no markings.

The only thing I don't like about it is that being short I can only use it posted. But because of the shape it doesn't post well. But for the price I paid it doesn't really matter.

Anyway, has anyone else seen one of these pens? What do you think of them?

Cheers,

Nathan

Skyglory pens and inks are available here in India. Their calligraphy pen sets are more widely available

It's cute, plastick-y and a great color while transparent in spots. I like it.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
