I have a six pen case that houses my daily carries, and I change my selection of pens about every week. I have three pens that endure in my rotation:

An Onoto Magna Classic with a medium gold nib. This pen has stayed inked since I received it.

A Bexley 2010 Owner's Club in black with a steel fine duo point nib by Richard Binder. Love the G-10 material.

A Cross sterling silver Townsend with a fine nib. What an absolute joy this nib is!

I also have a Kaweco Sport AC Carbon that stays close at hand. I'm not particularly tied to the pen so much as the form factor. I suppose I'd like a pocket pen that was a bit more...special.

My top 5 are (with the Pilot at the top, the rest pretty much interchangeable):

  1. Pilot Custom 823 -- awesome smooth writer and incredible filling mechanism
  2. TWSBI Vac 700 -- Cool filling mechanism, like the Pilot, and nice writer
  3. Noodler's Ebonite -- Looks good, great writer, and fairly low cost
  4. Noodler's Konrad -- Not sure if I should classify it differently from the Ebonite, but I enjoy it's quiet, subtle looks and great flex writing (this is a black pen: the other Konrads aren't always inked)
  5. Noodler's Flex Pen -- Came free with bottle of Dragon's Napalm: amazing eyedropper pen and writes beautifully. It was a free pen, but I wish it was a production model.

I did a top 10 list a while ago for Christof's thread but then it was soon obsolete as I added more pens. I have come to realize that the only thing constant is change. The pens below are a good representation of my preferences.

Bottom to top: Osmia Supra Extra, Astoria Dux No. 4, Parker Vac, Matador and Barclay.

Keeps changing, and my favorites for writing at home are not necessarily the ones I grab when heading out the door. Still, this would be pretty close, except perhaps for the exact order.

  1. Eversharp Skyline.
  2. Conway Stewart 388.
  3. Conklin Crescent with #3 nib.
  4. My blue Esterbrook J with a 2442 nib.
  5. Namiki Falcon, SM nib.
