Oh Lord, won't you buyme a Mercedes Benz. My friends all drive 'Vettes,I must make amends...

Good-old Scott Joplin - how I miss him.

But Cap'n, my friend, we aren't really already 96, are we?

A tad younger. Essence of Spire helps of course. With some Jarl on the old Cornflakes, every now and again.

You mean that Jarl is more than 3.6%? Please elaborate on this before I inadvertently buy something insufficient...

However unmodest of me, I think you should move to Germnany. Russia or Finnland would be going too far...

I bet that Paco Rabanne guy isn't man-enough to have "some Jarl on the old Cornflakes, every now and again" or to write with Pelikan Edelstein Amber in his Pelikan Tortoise M800.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

At the LV Pen Posse meeting today, we played with this ink....loaded it up into a Pelikan BBB that was modified by John Mottishaw.

Be sure to look at the images on my website to avoid the compression issues.

@Pter -- alas, poor Pelikan, I knew him well, but he belongs to Frank C. I love your line variation too!

The man whose pens I fondle the most often said this topic was a little "off color".

We did discuss that naughty innuendos are not on the no-no list. No ink bashing, no brand bashing, no politics and no religion..... that leaves sex, ink, pens and paper......

....

He loves me for my ink, I think.

A really nice lady sent me a sample of the new Edelstein Amber which is thus far not available in the US. I had been anxiously waiting to try this ink, so I was thrilled to receive this super kind gift. At the risk of dragging this thread back on track, I’ll share my reaction.

Step 1: get out the Herbin glass dip pen and compare the color to some browns I already have

Step 2: clean my recently arrived Pelikan M800 Tortoise in preparation for a bigger trial run

Step 3: write down my reaction to the ink

http://www.fototime.com/%7BA12A1430-8BF9-4B22-A0C5-1628CCFAFE89%7D/origpict/Sample.jpg

The sample above is pretty close to what I see on paper. The ink on paper appears a bit brighter to me, but the color looks close.

Thanks again, nice lady!

Excellent writing. And now for the bad news... I think this ink is un-nice because it seems to be forcing me to buy an M800 tortoise...

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
