Collecting Field Notes

Hi. Have just discovered Field Notes and feel myself getting drawn in. I have ordered a set of state fair and a set of the red cover version. Does anyone else collect? It seems hard to find existing versions that are out of stock. I looked on ebay but selection seems limited. Any suggestions other than ebay where to find out of print versions?

I have found myself collecting them too - mostly because I have to open a pack to take photos for the store

 

Many of their limited editions sell pretty quickly, and once they're gone, they're gone. However since they have two distribution locations and their main website only ships out of one of them (from what I understand at least,) they will sometimes have more in stock for online and B&M retailers; but not on the field notes website for sale. (For example, the Traveling Salesman and Expedition editions are currently shown as out of stock on their website; but I currently have some of each en route to me here for selling at ZWC.)

 

Once all of the copies of an edition are sold, though, the do not make any more (the TS edition is limited to 24k books/8k sets.) To get them, your best bet is to follow them and purchase once they are available (from them or any retailers,) or they also have a subscription service where they'll send you notebooks every now and then so you'll always have their latest editions.

 

For finding back orders, unfortunately your best bet will be ebay, however they don't tend to pop up that often
