Comparison Between M800 Tortoise (Old Style) & 2013 Version.

With the latest re-introduction of the M800 tortoise, I'm wondering how will the two tortoises - new M800 and M800 (old style) look like when placed side by side.

 

Also I would love to see the comparison between both tortoises on its piston filler. I'm sure the M800 tortoise old style used the gold coloured brass. Did it really affect the tortoise colour barrel of the M800 (old style)

 

Any M800 tortoise (old style) & 2013 owner out there who could share their views and photos?

I don´t really think it affects the tortoise colour barrel of the old style M800.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful M800 tortoise pens photo. From the picture, they really look alike save for the cap part.

 

I did see these two pens side by side at other site, but cant help to notice that the new tortoise does have aligned red spots along the brown & white vein line.

You can find it in auction sites, but its rare and the prices are astronomical.

I am contented for now with the newer one.

The striations on the barrel are more streamlined keeping in tune with the modern souveran line.

It´s hard to explain the difference between the two barrels; both of them look similar but they show some difference. For example, the lines in the new one look narrower, greyer and the brown colour is darker.
