Recalcitrant A&w Classic Impressions Pen

I know I'm about a week behind on this thread, but can anyone tell me exactly what a "knock out block" is? In the video pokermind posted of Shawn Newton, he used one for drill hammer bits. I am assuming that something else, like a normal drill bit block or even interchangeable screw driver bit blcok can be used, as long as the nib fits through it? Or is it better to get one made specifically for things like FP nibs?

I've actually just seen one once in a video. A guy had just made his own by drilling holes in wood that would fit various sizes of sections, plus a little catch tray underneath for the nib.

oh my goodness this is perfect! It's a cheap Tesco pen from 10 years ago, but I like it. I thought I had cleaned it thoroughly before switching inks, but apparently not because there was some black sludge blocking the feed. I started with a pair of pliers and a bit of rubber, but ended up actually just using my hands to wiggle the nib/feed free. whew. Also looks like there's some corrosion on the back of the nib, which may have contributed to the sludge, so I should probably get a new one.

Thanks!
