Fountain Pens In Singapore

So, I'll be in sg in the next few days. Can a more local person recommend me some stores which sell stuff closer to the 'market price' of things?

I'm particularly interested in Japanese pens, sub $150 pens, Pilot Parallels (for calligraphy) a Prera (because it looks cool) and some super cheap pens to practice some grinds.

Bottles of Iroshizuku closer to what Engeika sells them for would be nice too, is this possible?

Thanks guys!

EDIT: I appear to have created the most misleading title ever. It is I the one who needs help.

Firstly, when you will be here? We can organise a meetup with the local community and you can share in the local scene as well. Prices in Singapore are depending on what you are after. Pilot Parallels are discontinued by Pilot Singapore and I bought the last one from a local vendor yesterday. Prera can be found in a number of places, most of them run by NBC Stationary. You should be able to get a slightly better price from Engeika for that. As for Iroshizuku, just buy from Engeika. Prices in Singapore are SGD$45 per bottle retail which is USD$37 at today's exchange rate.

Things cheap in Singapore would be Lamy, some Parkers, a Pelikan New Classic P381 and quite a few other items. You will find Fook Hing in Brass Basah Complex worth the visit as their prices are comparable to those online after discount. Mustafa Center has a nice selection of Fountain Pens and would be the cheapest place to purchase Lamy pens. There are 3 counters and you can find discounted MontBlancs here. (Real ones for less than the official retail) Aesthetic Bay in Ion Orchard is worth while to visit as you can marvel at the first Nakaya retailer and see their full range on display. They have very limited stock on Noodler's Ink especially the Noodler's Singapore Collection which is exclusive to them, but prices are in the SGD$30 mark, well worth for collection purposes as they cannot be bought anywhere else. However, prices are bit high but they are the only place in town to get a Platinum Convertor.

The cheapest Fountain Pen that you can buy in Singapore off the shelf will be the Daiso Platinum Riviere or any fountain pen found there but good luck as they run out of stock very very fast. I have some cheap Chinese pens at SGD$2 if you want to get them when you are in town. These are the 2 websites which the addresses. We have a very active community on Facebook as well. But I am not there.

Wow, you guys actually do have a community. That's amazing!

I don't think I'm particularly free before next year. Maybe the 24th (probably not a good day), 28th and 6th are good days for me. Visting relatives and eating food (with relatives) comprise of the other days. But I'm not able to confirm due to whatever arrangements are made. I am also not able to re-summon my Singlish accent. Will only be bringing a cheapy flexy old waterman, one small bottle of ink and a manuscript italic pen.

For $2 SGD, I'd be quite happy to grab those Chinese pens from you if they have open nibs. Rather not tinker with hooded ones at the moment.

Would a Pilot VP be readily available around $140 USD? Or a Lamy2000 at $120? (malaysian ebay prices)

What about a 78g or a Pilot Penmanship?

Is the Leonardt EF Principal available in SG too? (flexy dip pen nib)

No money for Montblanc (still a student) but I'm a big fan of extra fine lines. Japanese Fine is passable too.

2nd hand fountain pens make me happy as well because they're cheaper.

Thanks for all the help!

No problem on the Chinese pens, there is the Kaigelu 356 which is an open nib. As for the VP, I cannot remember the local prices. I need to check with Fook Hing.

78g unfortunately cannot be found locally in Singapore but can be found in KL, NBC (Counters in Kino and Isetan have them). Penmanship I have yet to see them.

I have yet to see the Leonardt EF but Art Friend sells the Nikko G Nib. They are on the third floor of Brass Basah Complex above Fook Hing.
