Noodler's Green Marine

I feel as though this is pretty self explanatory. A fine ink; a couple of notes to add to the review. The ink is not waterproof, as expected because it is a normal Noodler's ink. It doesn't bleed as long as you don't use a ton of ink, as with a fine nib. No problems skipping or starting, only skips when I forget to keep enough pressure on the page. I apologize for my handwriting.

Thanks for posting this Kyle, nice review. I just picked up a bottle of this for holiday card writing, it's the perfect green for that. I thought it was listed as partially waterproof or something like that. Any ideas?

It doesn't look like it will totally wash out, but when it gets wet it bleeds pretty bad. I just did a water test with it. It will lose it's color if you run it under water and dripping water on it will cause it to bleed. But it does look like certain components of the ink do stay. I will post the results when the page dries.

Nice review. This isn't a green I've tried yet (still making up my mind about the reformulated Noodler's Army Green). It looks as if you're not getting any feathering with it; how is it for showthrough/bleedthrough? Oh, and I wouldn't apologize for handwriting if I were you -- it's certainly better than mine is! I'm combatting too many years' worth of not writing cursive other than for signatures, after training my hand to write "fat" and "cute" like a teenage girl :headsmack: (at least I no longer dot my eyes with little circles like I did when when I was 12...).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

There is a bit of showthrough in that printer paper with the broad and italic nibs, but with the fine, there is none. I have used it on a ton of paper so far none of which have feathered.

Here is a sample of waterfastness.

Top left was washed under warm water for 1 minute. The rest was either splattered or dipped in water.

Green Marine wasn't even on my radar (haha) until the Fade Tests. It writes well, doesn't clog pens and holds up to the sun. I really like it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
