Montegrappa Miya Vs Extra 1930

I really like the look of these two pens.

For those that have experience with both, my question is: what's the difference in terms of feel ( I know about the bulge in the Miya) and quality?

Does the 1930 really write that much better?

Thanks,

Dave

The Miya uses the same nib that the Classica used.

BUT...

maybe size matters.

The extra is a better pen

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I love the nib on my Miya, and it's a gorgeous pen, too. As much as I like piston fillers, the Extra is a lot more expensive, so you'll have to decide if the piston filling and the larger nib are important to you.

I think I'd only be inclined to buy the Extra over the Miya if I got a smokin' deal on it.

All I can say is that I have a classica and as it stands, it's the best pen in my collection for writing smoothness, weight, feel and...well everything!

Love it.
