Diamine Racing Green

I thought I would get some of the Diamine Racing Green from Missing Pen and am really enjoying it. Never having had the MBBRG I'm not at all bothered about any comparisons with that ink at all.

Diamine's product is a great ink and one that should be given serious consideration when a green that's subtle is required.

As usual I used a dipped Lamy Safari and Rhodia paper.

Great! I now use it all the time!! IMO at least as good as MB's RG. More tamorrah...

How does it compare to mb swift? A little lighter maybe?

 

My favourite Diamine is green-black. This seems lighter (as you would expect) but more olive in tone perhaps (or is it just my screen...)

I.e. DRG is darker, greener, more brown than grey; MBJS is lighter, less green, more grey than brown. Upon writing (up top as usual a 100µl sample on a swab used 1x, 2x, 3x, then a Lamy Joy 1.5 mm nib, and finally an Allegro XF dipstick) it was very easy to ascertain that the DRG is definitely more saturated and also had a much better flow than the MBJS. I'm absolutely sure I prefer the D. But... to each his own....

These are wonderful! it is very interesting to see a side-by-side comparison with MB Seaweed; I believe Diamine is the shading winner

Never really been a fan of greens before I saw this. Whoa. Just ordered a bottle from missing pen. (no affil, blah bah). So stoked to try it out!

Perhaps I've confused people with the words 'limited edition'. As I understand it, from the horse at Diamine, they are only supplying it to Missing Pen, so in that respect, it is limited to Rolf. Not a short-term production run.

Incidentally, you said you just talked to the boss. My wife has no recollection of that conversation whatsoever...

I got a sample from Rolf with a pen and went back for 2 bottles!!

I like dark greens very much, got most of the others mentioned except Noodler's Zhivago.........

Capt'n, yer right. D. supplies it only to MP. Rolf'll probably get it from D untill all heck breaks loose, since the sales of this are great, he says. I.e. if you need more and more, you have to get same from MP directly. Sorry for wrongly understanding the confusion...
