It deserves to be in every fountain pen owner's ink collection.

Thanks for this review - I have been wondering how this ink will perform with dip pens. Now I know :-)

Nice! Thanks for the review. I am avoiding black ink (the way I avoid black bags, there are too many) but this one sounds like the one must-have.

 

I'm curious: Do you have a pic of your Gillot? I have one as well but it's currently not working (piston is stuck). I love the look of the pen and didn't want to return it for a refund!

another great one! this is my mainstay black ink as well, and i am required to use black only for work. i am thinking about switching to Noodler's Dark Matter to add a little "something" to my work-related papers and the images i have seen make it look "black-enough" for my purposes. i would love to see a review on this ink... any thoughts?

The Gillott I use in these reviews is just a dip nib, not a pen, though (although I've found a pen that the wonderful Gillott 303 fits perfectly in, which I'll have a write-up for very soon… )
