Various Iroshizuku Inks

PinarelloOnly

Recommended Posts

This is a “scan sampling” of some my Iroshizuku inks being used with Fine and Extra Fine nibs from Pilot and TWSBI.

First scan is what we use in our office. Boise X-9 acid free. One of the higher end printer papers and fountain pen

friendly as far as copier paper is concerned. Out of all the inks the Deep Cerulean Blue ran the fastest out of the

TWSBI feeds. Definitely a wet ink with the TWSBI 540’s, shows thicker lines for a EF nib. Feathering will be even

worse on cheaper copier paper with that particular ink and pen.

Second scan is Rhodia Graph. The Deep Cerulean Blue behaved better on this paper.

Impressive inks, especially with Fine and Extra Fine nibs, Iroshizuku still manages to show it's true colors with

such narrow line widths.

Really like your penmanship. Looks a lot like an architects writing. Nice ink comparisons, too. What is the Japanese name on the deep cerulean ink? I don't know these colors except by the name on the box. Although I do reconnize all but the two blues. The deep cerulean looks like it might be Kon-peki?

I'm riding a 2003 Galileo made with Pinarello Lens tubing. The last of the all aluminum frames "Made in Italy" before they started to weld them

up in Asia around 2004-2005.

Thank you.

Guest Gracie

I have a Namiki Chinese Phoenix fountain pen with a fine nib (gift from my son for which he is forgiven anything he ever may or may not have done) and I use nothing but Kon-Peki (also from him) in it, because it is just so beautiful and delicate without being weak, bright and uplifted without being in your face. It is absolutely my favourite blue. Having seen your nice review, however, I would love to try Moonlight in an extra fine nib. I've always used it in a larger nib and it is quite strong, but your example is lovely.

Thank you for the great ink "sampler"!

I just recently splurged with my first bottle - in Iroshizuku. (Though it still peeves me I have to look at the label to properly spell their lovely shades. ;-p )

Very pleased so far... :clap1:

Thanks a lot. These inks belong to my favourites, especially fuyu syogun. I wouldn't mind if they soon introduced a New Man Spring!
