Pelikan M600 From Regina Martini

I've bought half a dozen pens from Regina on eBay. Boxes ranged from high end gift boxes to pen sized boxes just barely large enough for the pen. Very happy with every purchase from her.

Many thanks for all the kind words. I would like to explain how the situation currently is with the boxes: Dealers are not getting the full quantity of boxes from the fountain pen companies. Per example: Lamy Germany only provides 20% boxes of each order!!!You order 100 Lamy pens and you get 20 boxes for free. (for the standard pens, not for expensive pens or Limited editions of course). If a dealer needs more than that > he has to pay for it. Another point is, that standard pens are having standard boxes. Most of the user do not need a box,they throw it away. In case of a Pelikan Souveraen pen, it would be a G15 box, which is heavy and expensive, and finally raise the shipping fees to customer. Another point is: what are you doing with all the standard (I am only talking of standard)boxes? Do you REALLY need them? Would you like to add (per example) 20.- on the total for a box? Especially if it´s a dailey writer? I assume the M600 is your dailey writer! If you are buying a limited edition, you should take care of a box. But here is another example: some italian pens with its very expensive (nice however) packaging...do you know that sometimes you paid 200 to 300 euros only for the box? Here is the question if pen companies should go back to Basic....a Pelikan 1931/5 box (ok) - A Montblanc writer edition or 4810 box (ok)> but how about the Pelikan world wonder boxes???? Do we need a separate room for the boxes only? Maybe a new discussion point...

Wow! Some of the boxes are that expensive? Perhaps we need a new "Boxes" sub-forum, for those that like to collect the boxes.

I did not know that manufacturers did not supply nice boxes for each pen.

 

I think Regina hit the nail on the head, I would like a box for the special pens, but for a standard pen, even be it a premium model such as the Montblanc Meisterstuck models, Pelikan Souvgern models, the simple cardboard sleve is fine if it helps my pocketbook.

 

Another thing to consider is the space it takes to store all those boxes.

Glad to see Regina on here. I'm late to the party, but I can vouch for her after sales service. She made 2 of my M1000s possible with my dream nibs on board, walked me thru my first Pelikan nib swap complete with pictures and is totally awesome. She can save me postage on boxes any day.

Hi Regina, the listing can be designed so that the buyer can choose to pay extra for the box if they so wish. So the buyer is fully aware of what to expect and they can take an informed decision.

Hi Hari,

 

no a bad idea. But we always describe if a pen has a box, and usally the box is pictured (if there is one).
