Touché! But if we consider how many pages of writing we can get from a single bottle of ink...

It will fill up more than those bookcases.  :)

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I have my inks in a box, so not really visible, but I will choose some bottles on a rotation to display them at my computer desk depending on what I've been writing with.

My ink collection has a new home.

@Daela is starting the display. Here is the first part.

We will have to ask @Daela

So....  Inks on the upper shelves and what look like record albums -- and stored correctly at that (according to what my mom told me years ago, anyway).

Very nice!

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Not Philip's home office. It's my spare room and the first of many (many, MANY) shelves going up to display Amber's immense collection :)

I think they look nice above the record shelves!

I keep mine mainly in the secretary that used to be my grandparents'; a few are on my desk at work.  Judging by some of the pictures I've seen in here, I'm an absolute ink amateur... XD

Meteorologists around here refer to this bit of spring as "green-up" -- when plants sprout and trees leaf so quickly that they are able to absorb a surprising amount of rainwater. This winter has been an "ink-up" for me, but my old storage system, a chiyogami paper-covered box on my desk, could no longer absorb all the bottles.

So I've added a small set of Bisley drawers to my closet, which work very well; the three-drawer unit has enough interior height to hold Iroshizuku bottles, though it can't QUITE fit Robert Oster (of which I have only one bottle), and certainly not Akkerman, but those don't fit in the desktop box either. Now that box will hold bottles of ink currently in pens, or in a very immediate queue, with (bonus!) some space left for much-used tools, the typewritter ribbon boxes in which I store nibs, and so on.

(I use a white glass/ceramic marker to label the cap tops of bottles so I can find things without rooting around; doesn't work for Teranishi inks, which have their logo printed on a silver cap top, but at least the labels of those reflect the color of the ink, so as long as I can see a sliver of label, I can tell what's what.)
