:crybaby: Nooooooo, so sorry I missed it, too. BeachBum, you've made organizing this look easy but it's not. How charming that shop looks! Makes it even more special when there's such a nice connection with the seller, too.

 

I will be interested if you do another round of orders--- I would be a local LA pickup. Well, as local as LA gets, that is. LOL Many thanks!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update. I received one of two boxes (a little disconcerting) on Friday, and I am starting to sort through it and get the orders organized. I hope the second box comes in today. I will keep you posted on progress! :thumbup:

I have the first 15 all lined up on my desk and waiting on the next box of 15. There will be pictures! :thumbup: Going to the store today to get packing supplies so I can start shipping ASAP!

Shame on you for suggesting that, Stompie. :P I do hope that Bob is much more coordinated than I am and won't drop any of our bottles. :unsure:

As of today, I have not received the second box from Akkerman. :crybaby: So, I am sending an e-mail to Paul tonight to find out if there is any way to track it and determine its location. I will be sending out the bottles I have within the next couple of days, and will update each individual as their package goes out.

Still no box. Paul said that based on what he was able to determine from The Netherlands, one box was a few days behind the other. I am currently in the process of boxing up those orders which can be shipped out in their entirety. If I receive the other box by Friday, everything will go out no later than Saturday, August 11. Thank you all for the continued patience! :thumbup:

Beautiful! Glad that we inspired you, Stompie! :P Though my poor writing will certainly do neither the bottle nor the ink justice, as yours does, I hope to soon be able to have my Akkerman bottle of ink proudly taking center stage in my ink supply area.

My bottle of ink is in that second box! Of course, I am jealous of those who have gotten their bottles already. Patience never was one of the virtues I posses so it is tough waiting for the international post to arrive. It doesn't help matters that I ordered bottle no 8, which appears to be a (blue/black) color no one else has purchased, as there is no review of it in the Ink Review forum. Dang it!

 

So, I still have no idea of what I am going to get. But given that I would most likely never have ordered one of these inks had it not been for Beachbum's group purchase, (for which I am gratfull) I guess I just have to hang in a little longer. With luck it will arrive soon and then I can join in on all the fun everyone else is having. *fingers drumming in anticipation*

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
