Anyone O.c.d. About Just One Ink?

Almost all my ink usage is with about 6 inks, most of those medium and dark blues. I've never really worried out running out of ink because in most cases, I have another color that's a near match.

I do have a couple other teals, NONE anywhere near as well behaved as the Levenger.

For a couple years now, this one teal P-45 of mine with a Masuyama CI in it has had TT in it. All I had was a pretty large tube sample from FPNer SpottedAndSpeckled. I knew I was almost out and today when I couldn't pour enough into the (test tube like) cap to do a fill with. :yikes: I did use a syringe though and I think I have one more fill left. Period.

I actually started to get the heebiejeebies a little. There's nothing else but TT that I could put in this one 45. (Maybe you can tell that from the pic...)

I went ahead and placed an order from Levenger for one bottle. Yahoo! Free Shipping for me! :clap1:

Hi Bruce,

Gorgeous colour in an exquisite pen! Thank you for sharing. I have just pulled out my stainless steel P45 from my arsenal of pens ready to ink with the new inks that should be arriving any second! I cannot contain the excitement, it is a beautiful pen that I haven't used for well over 10 years.

As for OCD, strangely, I pulled out a Harley Davidson Waterman that is silver which at one point had King's Gold in it, and my goodness, trying to battle with myself about putting a new colour in instead of 'it must have a gold ink...' :bonk: !!!!! Anyway, it is still un-inkied! As for inks, I like bright, vibrant colours, having said that I am loving Sargasso Sea at the moment, especially when it does its shimmery thang!

Funny how little Levenger inks get discussed. I guess it is because they are not shifting colors all the time. I miss Fireball and wish I had purchased an extra few bottles. It was a nice color and behaved well.

I like black inks so I should try their black.

Enjoy that Teal!

I suggested to Nathan at Noodler's that they procure from Levenger the discontinued recipe for Pinkly and reintroduce it as Baystate Bubblegum.

I didn't even get a response back.

Bruce in Ocala, FL-sure sounded like a good idea to me

I think I'm gonna end up being like that with Kung Te Cheng. It was the first ink that really behaved well in my Konrad (most everything else I had tried before that was either too wet/drippy or too messy). I accidently broke the bottle I got right after the first fill. :gaah:

I have been getting antsy about being able to order another bottle (and NO ONE has it in stock at the moment that I've found! :bawl:) I've even considered scrounging up the cash for a special order large bottle from Goulet Pens, in spite of the price -- *and* the potential danger of making an even worse mess of my bathroom.... :headsmack:

At the moment I'm having to console myself with Rouge Hematite in that pen (in spite of the amount of gunk built up on the nib). Trying to decide what to attempt in it next (I'm a bit leery of putting an iron gall in it, but it does seem to do better with drier inks....).

I keep my Edison Pearl continually inked in Noodler's Red-Black because it matches the pen color.

I *wish* I kept Noodler's Texas Bluebonnet continually inked in something, but I have to find a pen that it plays nice with on my preferred composition books.

O.C.D. is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

I think a lot of people on here have it in varying degrees

Tinta, OCD is the abbreviation for obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Let's see, my Waterman 52 1/2V Ripple always gets Noodler's Red Black, the Sheaffer desk pen and No Nonsense get Diamine Registrar's Ink; that's it though. My Cross Century II has had Antietam for a while but that's just because the converter is big.

Yes me! LOL

Waterman Florida Blue, that was until I got my sample of Tsuki-Yo. Now i am done for! I am on the last of my 2ml sample and just cannot get any of it in the UK at all. Its a joke. If I order some in from Ebay it will cost me £40 by the time i have paid for delivery, VAT on arrival and Royal Mails charges. Robbing hits.

I tried their black and the cobalt blue and really didn't like either of them. That was years ago, though. It's possible they may have improved since then... and that teal definitely looks like an attractive color. I just might have to give it a try.

I'm fond of Levenger's Cocoa, a nicely behaved medium-to-rich brown that shades very well and does a fine job on cheap copy bond paper. My girls like Cardinal Red. 'Cause it's red. Really red.
