One that I picked up recently is the Cross Townsend "Citrine"

Rowdy

Which was mentioned/depicted above by dut1974.

I got one NOS at half price 4 months ago. Nice pen.

Good grief. I just realized that I have four Cross Townsend pens - or should I say 'had.' Our alumni association sold the collections in the 1990s. Thanks to an employee discount, I was able to purchase a 10k gold ballpoint, a sienna brown ballpoint, a green jade rollerball and my pride and joy - a lapis lazuli ballpoint. Rollerball has been hanging around my pen box for years. The lapis would disappear for a year or two. It reappeared recently. Out of curiosity, I did a search to prompt the memory and saw how much it is worth today. Now I'm afraid to take it out of the house.

No clue where the gold and sienna brown pens went, when. Now you know why I'll forego any deep FP investments any time soon. Too irresponsible!

The Gold and Black laquer Townsend set in the middle box was called "Tuxedo". let me know if you want more pictures. You have my permission to use the picture.

Looks nice Raymond.

But mostly BP, I notice. How many fountainpens do you have? Personally, I have only one, a Citrine. But I don't collect separate models.

I just want the good writers. You could say I collect the nibs.

The very first picture above includes a Townsend labeled as "Titanium Grey Lacquer" -- it has a grey barrel and silver-colored appointments.

Try as I might I can't find any other reference to this pen, or a standard Cross reference number/SKU for it.

Anyone out there actually own one of these and could perhaps shed some light in the form of a SKU, another name, cryptic clues provided by an old Gypsy woman, etc.? My thanks in advance. :)

Hi,

Earlier in the thread, there was mention of the Townsends that were were given to Concorde passengers. I have one in a gray finish with steel nib that came from Ebay a few months ago.

Very nice! There's also a Lustrous Chrome version of the Concorde Townsend. If there are any other finishes, I've never seen 'em. (This picture also includes the Obama pen.)

Cool to see there was another Concorde finish--and to see one of the Obama pens. I almost didn't post to this thread since it was so old, but took a shot at it :-)

This one is my first Townsend and I picked it up because of the rave reviews from FPN.

I have to say, the Townsend has replaced the Prelude as my modern everyday carry pen ( I ususally carry one modern and a couple of vintage pens).

The Townsend's my most common EDC. I keep enough of them inked so that I can choose one that at least loosely matches my shirt. ;)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
