A Good Notebook With Numbered Pages?

Hi everyone!

 

I've been using the Moleskine XL Cahier and I love everything about it, except that the pages aren't numbered. I want numbered pages to make cross-referencing easier.

 

Manually numbering the pages is sort of annoying.

 

Is there any notebook that is close to the XL Cahier (stitch, not spiral binding, and can fold completely around the spine into a one-page footprint), that has numbered pages?

I prefer Leuchtturm notebooks. They are wider than Moleskine so you get more page surface to write on.

The page markings (lines, dots, grid) are faint so they dont over power the page.

 

I know people complain about bleed through but I dont think its bleed through, at least not in my books. The paper is translucent.

If you buy the blank Leuchtturm it comes with a template you put behind a page you write on. The template has lines on one side and a grid on the other.

It shows up well on the translucent page.

 

And of course the Leuchtturm are numbered and there is a table of contents at the beginning of the notebook as well. And they come in more colors than some other notebooks.

I find that the Leuchtturm that I use (small, soft cover, lined) has much less feathering or bleed through than any moleskine I've ever used. I like it a lot.

I don't know how many of them would fold over like you request, but you could do a search for "lab(oratory) notebooks". There've been several discussions on those, and they will generally have numbered pages for patent/research purposes.

IIRC bookfactory. does bound laboratory and not research style books with numbered pages and various page lay outs, lines , squares, columns, etc. I have no experience using them with FP's, but they work great with Roller Balls and gel inks. Quality product at a fairly in expensive price, in a multitude of sizes. Usual disclaimers apply, Jim

Just throwing another idea in the hat - I'm not entirely sure that they'd be flexible enough for you, but Jottr notebooks have numbered pages. They do alternate lined pages with blank though, so I don't know if that'd be your thing. IIRC, the one I have took my medium nibs okay, but you'd do best to Google reviews for the thing.

I like the Leuchtturm and will probably stop using Moleskines when I've finished the ones I've already got. The blank and dot Leuchtturm books have numbers on, just like the lined.

OMG. :clap1: I think you just found the journal that I used for 3 years of college. I've been trying to find the brand. Unfortunately, a jealous ex-girlfriend destroyed it after reading it many years later. Hence ex-girlfriend. I don't remember it being that expensive. But I loved it and it was very fountain pen friendly. If you figure that a Habana is around $20 and this has three times the paper, it ends up being reasonable. That of course assumes the paper is still fountain pen friendly. A lot can change in 20 years.
