@thott, that OBB is amazing. I'm a sucker for any Oblique nib, much less a BB. :)

I'll post some samples later tonight once the kids are in bed. We've been enjoying winter here in Dallas, but nothing like dcpritch's - that is wild!

@tringle, love that red ripple. I need to find one of those one day. :)

@tatrin, that is a lovely Expert. I had an 'urban' edition of the Expert and it never quite suited me. Yours, however, is very nice.

The sheen of the Penman Emerald was a real surprise for me. It is a bit more reddish than shown in this pic though.

My colors look a little flat on the scanner. The paper is a Rhodia A4. I use it for work a lot, and despite the ease with which ink goes down on it I am sometimes disappointed with its performance. I still like the feel of it.

Gorgeous. . .

I was this close to nipping in to Harrods and seeing if they had one to actually touch and play with again.

Thankfully work got in the way.

My last car cost me £500! How could I spend nearly the same on a pen and then try to explain my action to friends & family happily using Argos pens ?

Keep the pics coming.

Tas -- go buy a few junkers at a jumble sale. Then you can tell people you bought some pens at a jumble and not lie. :D

Easy, car is just a means of transport, (unless it's a specialty car such as a Ferrari, in which case, nice score!) But a pen, that's art, that makes art.....

LWJ2 - I’m liking your style.

79spitfire - Sooo true. It may well be your “But a pen, that’s art, that makes art” comment that breaks this camel’s back.

Tringle - LOVING the lines that you and your Commando and Waterman's Serenity Blue are making. So expressive.

Shame about the exchange rate. Hope you managed to buy something online upon your return.

I finally got a sheaffer valiant and I wanted to try out swapping the medium nib with an S5 nib that I have been holding onto for a while. Tried it today. Works great. My handwriting is pretty bad at 2am.

I thought showing what a snorkel stub looks like compared to a medium would give you an idea of what it looks like in person.

ps: Am I the only one jealous of DCPRITCH's snow?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
