Hello all. Just posting a little comparison of what stone paper does to ink. It is done with the Wancher Naranja and Goulet 1.1 mm stub. The top is the stone paper. Diamine Ochre turns into an almost Syrah like color. Bottom is onion skin and more the shade I expect from Ochre.

Oh, and the pen:

Peace out! =D

EDIT: Whoops, excuse my typos! Duke Uranus 308 and arthritic. See, when you dot your i's and cross your t's after writing out the whole words, things get mixed up sometimes...

Hi everyone! I've been quite absent for the past month, due mostly to a number of family crises but in between we've had visitors from Japan, Italy, Colombia, more folks from Japan, and various friends from 9 different states. Entertaining is fun but I'm ready for relaxing!!!

There is no way I could properly greet everyone on the thread, so please accept my HOWDY!

Here are a couple of pens I have inked today:

If you've seen my posts before you know I like to match ink and pen - this one turned out pretty nicely:

I forgot to add one - this one is a pretty cool and hard-to-find pen but I think the ink may be even more scarce:

This beauty is currently en-route from sunny Spain; a 1950s Pelikan with a semi-hooded nib. Can't wait!

I was originally using my finer Waterman 52 for flex. But the nib on it went poopy. :(

Flexing with a medium nib and inky pen is hard! :P Have to have useless absorbent paper under it or else it will remain on the surface of the paper... (although the graph paper used is SUPER absorbent)

Getting back into the flow of writing too!

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
