The 180 Flighter writes really nice and has some flex in the nib. It's too thin for it to be a pen I like to use every day, but still fun to write with.

That one you linked, a THUYA LAQUE, is version that I haven't seen in person before

Current bid price is cheap, but I imagine it will sell for >$50 by the time the auction ends.

Personally I love these pens, just so stylish, not sure I'd want to take it through airport security though

I have two of them a stainless steel flighter and a gold filled, fine to xf ,one which I'll be putting up for sale in the next few weeks.

Puss :meow:

I'm generally dead against REALLY THIN(!!) pens, but the 180 gets around my shielding. I think that's because Parker had the sense not to make it over-heavy. The main thing wrong with mine is that it's not a flighter.

It's mainly pens, just now....

Oh, good heavens. He's got a blog now, too.

we need to cross reference this thread with the "thin pen" thread, but anyways, I too have been eyeing this pen. It's got so much style

Here you will find some examples of Parker 180 pens - in Laque colours, in gold, in argent, flighters..., all slim with the triangle nibs. And it's not the end of the searching...

I've tried writing with an 180 for many years but to no avail. I do have a preference of thicker pens (although I'm quite comfortable with a Parker Falcon or a Pilot Murex) but somehow the 180 didn't fit my hand. It is possible that it had also to do with the nib, which I found too hard, unresponsive and a bit alien (didn't feel like a fountain pen nib).

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
