Quick update:

After restoring this review and visvamitra's review of this ink from 2014, I have now found a review by visvamitra from 2017 (how stupid do I feel now? ).

And, judging by that 2017 review, it looks as though the ink may indeed have been reformulated...

 

 

So, might @inkstainedruth's wallet be able to breathe a sigh a relief...?

Yes, @Mercian, that was also my impression. Among these two older threads, the one from Sandy1 looks closer to what I get from my 2021 Alt-Bordeaux bottle.

And yes, the ink in the 2017 visvamitra thread seems to be almost exactly what I have now.
