hello friends this is rajesh from bombay. have been a member of fpn since 2014 but this is my first post. have been going thru most of the topics on indian fp discussions.

the main reason of my post is that there are no discussions on Indian branded fp nibs. according to me nibs are the sole of any fountain pen. but the discussions here have been focused on the fountain pen brand but not on nibs of that particular fountain pen brand. similarly there are discussions on fountain pens where the nib has been modified or replaced with a nib of a different brand according to the collectors/users experience. its like discussing a mercedes benz having a datsun engine. i suggest can we have a discussion on Indian FP brands which carry the nib and/or clip of the same brand.

I have identified few Indian FP brands having nibs of the same brand of the fountain pens they manufacture or market. list is as follows

** Abhay Pen (Mohi Pens) Aurangabad

** "Mohi" Nib

** Kale Pens Pune

** "KALEBROS" Nib

** 2 & 5 years Guarantee on Nib

** Oliver Pens Chennai

** "Oliver" Nib

** Arihant Pens Mumbai

** "Arihant" Nib

** Luxor Pens

** "Luxor" Nib

** Chelpark

** "Chelpark" Nib

** Montex Pens

** "Montex" Nib

** Camlin Pens Mumbai

** "Camlin" Nib

** Deccan Pens

** "Deccan" Nib

** Airmail & Wality Pens Mumbai

** "Airmail" Nib

** "Wality" Nib

** Flair Pens

** "Flair" Nib

** Beena Pens Ulhasnagar

** "Beena" Nib

** Cello Pens

** "Cello" Nib

** Camay Pens

** "Camay" Nib

** Pramila Pens Baroda

** "Mayur" Nib

** Bismi & Jubilee Pens Trichur

(kunnankulam) M Syed Agencies

** "Bismi" Nib

** Blue Nile Pens

** "Blue Nile" Nib

** Mhatre Pens Mumbai

** "Plato" Nib

** Black Bird Pens

** "Black Bird" Nib

** Artex Pen Mart Kolkatta

** "Artex" Nib

** Guider Pens Rajahmundry AP

** "Guider" Nib

** Ratnam (Ratnamson) Rajahmundry

Most of the pens and nib is very difficult to get, only local guys can get it where they are located.

May be a lot of these are made by Ambitious. Check out their site and you'd find some nib pictures with familiar names on them!!

Subbu, does Bril green or red leave stains?

Bril Red does stain the hands. It took lot of washes to leave my hand while all other inks I have cannot withstand Mysore Sandal soap. Staining the barrel is not yet tested.

I just washed my Galactic that had Bril Green and Turquoise mix with slightly warm water. no stains except the thread that has silicone grease. dipped my fingers in green ink and washed after some time. Faint stain seen still.

Hope this helps

It just looks fantastic. the rounded shape, the proportions, and the nib ... Everything looks just fantastic  except the clip.

Posting the photos of a juicy flex nib, without a writing sample should be considered as a sin

Here, Velvet.

Not the best paper to write on with a juicy nib because of the feathering, but it gives you an idea of the nib's capacities. ;)

Thank you for your interest;

I really like your handwriting Fountainpagan. I liked it the first time I saw it in the Open Book, and I like it again here. In my eyes it has a hint of Art Nouveau about it ... :happyberet:

Today I used my Ranga 4C in yellow swirl with a JoWo broad nib. It is inked with Private Reserve Shoreline Gold. I also used my Serwex Special 101 with Noodler's Blue-Black. Sadly the Serwex is a bit scratchy, but otherwise a fairly nice pen that came free with an order from FPR.

I am always looking for new penpals! Send me a pm if you'd like to exchange correspondence. :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
