Why is it so special? Is there a reason for it to be desirable? Never heard of it before, but then again, there's a lot I've not heard about.

Never even heard of it! And it isn't even shaped like a tank or built like a tank!

I believe that I did a review of a Tank 400 and it should be in the review section. The barrels are made of lucite and originally the idea was that each barrel came sealed with ink and we're interchangeable. Kind of like mega eyedropper cartridges. They were made by Baignol and this would a complete original set by the looks of it. Now as much as I like these pens this is a hefty price and this set has been on the market for a number of months. I believe that I have some pdf's with some more info if people are interested.

That's a really interesting looking pen. It's a shame about the price; if it were less I might've been interested also.

Anybody have 850€ that they would like to lend me to, um, "invest"? :eureka:

Sure, I'll give you the 850 Euros. Just sign the contract and ignore that slightly inconvenient line that talks about the 300% interest. Incidentally, don't pay too much attention to that part in the small print that says that if I don't receive payment in 3 months, Bruce Willis will come to your house and destroy the most priced pen in your collection.

So, let's sign the papers and she is all yours. ;)

lol

An interesting pen to be sure, but I'm not sure I'm willing to part with 850 Euros as an 'investment' ;)

And the deal this guy is trying to barter here seems a bit shady too me. I'd be careful. :roflmho:

I'm betting one of the pen makers here could make you a pen like that, but I don't see why one would ever need so much ink. If the two bodies were filled with two types of ink, you'd have to rinse out your section, and then put the body one. Why not just carry two eyedroppers?

True. It's sorta along the lines of the Pelikan Level with the huge ink capacity. The first time I saw these I thought it was a neat way of avoiding all of the complicated filling mechanisms and pretty cool because of the completely clear barrel. Other companies have done the same thing since (i.e., Recife Crystal). I just always thought they were neat.
