Refill For A 'mini-Jotter' ?

Does anybody know if there is still a refill for a 'mini-jotter'?

It is a smaller jotter BP, but the same shape. The ordinary parker BP refill is just a bit to big and it won't close.

Although I don't own one I was under the impression the mini jotter used a standard sized refill? Are you sure it's definately a jotter and not another Parker miniature ballpoint?

That's my understanding as well. However, you might want to check with fpn member "parkercrazy". Francis is an exceptionly knowledgeable about Jotters, and should be able to give you a definite answer on this.

Hope this helps.

Hi all, I have and use often several 'Jotters', as millions do, and I have found that sometimes when fitting or changing a Powerpoint refill, it does not go into the revolving mechanism properly, gives the impression that the refill is too long.

So it's just a case of trying several times, it obviously does fit !

If there is a miniature version then,

1) I have never seen one, and;

2) I think the standard 'Jotter' is fairly miniature as it is now, could do with being scaled up about 25% in all dimensions !

Parker made a mini Jotter around 1965 (for girl sized hands - ie marketed toward females, and males with small hands). I do believe it was the same refill but I have the Jotter book at home and can check it out and let you know. I was under the impression that most if not all Parker ballpoints were engineered to take the same refill to cut down on production costs, but they may have made a mini-refill. Parkercrazy would definitely know. Big wealth of knowledge.

Stay tuned.

Here are some pictures. In the last picture also a 'mini-fibre-tip' (does not work with rollerball only with fibre-tip).

It is possible to put a refill in it (it feels like forcing it), but then the clicking mechanisme doesn't work anymore. The refill is just a little bit to big for it. When ready for writing the point is too far out.

My mother had a complete set when I was a child. She lost it. This one I found some time ago on ebay.

Hi all, I was searching around for some pictures of the Miami Blue Jotter that I have (minus clip), and I found this link about the shorter jotter refills... seems they were made after all. Would not rate anyone's chances of getting any that work now, I think I would look at taking a modern one apart and cutting it down to fit.

So try pasting this line,

Parker Tiara's and Saccharine Dispenser

into the search bar at the top of this site, and scroll down 'till you get to the shorter Jotter photo's.

penpointer your pen is a mini/compact jotter and should take the standard refill, a wild guess is that your barrel might be from a tiara jotter and therefore should have a metal barrel ring at the threads - I'm not sure if these barrels are compatible with the mini jotters but if they are and it is missing the metal barrel ring it would account for the apparent shortness of the pen. We would need someone with both types of jotter to test out the theory though
